Claiming for Elective Sections and Postnatal Visits

		Unless you are an obstetrician you are not entitled to the delivery 
		payment for women who have elective sections. However, if the 
		woman requests you to be present you can claim an Exceptional 
		Circumstances payment. 
		
				Please note that this payment is an LMC 
				payment and therefore if the woman has changed LMC for the 
				delivery you are NOT entitled to this (or any) payment. 
		
		If you still 
		are the LMC and the woman has requested your presence at the birth, set 
		the 
		
				“Special <img height="58" alt="acit claim2.bmp" src="/images/imagegallery/acit%20claim2.bmp" width="186" border="0" />Circumstances” box at the top right of the labour and delivery 
				page to 
				
						
								“Yes”. 
						
						This will prevent the delivery 
				
				module being claimed in error and will submit 
				a special circumstances claim for you. You can 
				change or delete special circumstances claims 
				on the “Visit Claims” page. 
				
						When you set the 
						birth type to Elective Caesarean on the 
						baby page you are also reminded that you may not be eligible for 
						the delivery fees.

				are upgraded to the latest

		Postnatal Visits When making a Postnatal claim you must submit to <img height="74" alt="Post.bmp" src="/images/imagegallery/Post.bmp" width="262" border="0" /> HealthPac the number of inpatient visits you madeand the number of home visits. These numbers are requiredseparately. However, when calculating if you are entitled to the paymentfor additional home visits, these numbers are added (as you nowreceive a payment if the TOTAL number of postnatal visits is 12 ormore). 
		Make sure that you enter the number of
		inpatient visits 
		
				
						(on the left) and home visits 
		
		
				(on the right) separately.
				
						Just a reminder that from 1-July-07 onwards there is no
						registration fee i.e. women still need to be registered but there is
